Week 7 saw some more jostling from the #5-13 teams, and even a little movement at the very bottom, while the top four stayed firmly in place.

Those four first place teams are a combined 24-1 and they were all our preseason picks to win their respective divisions. Right now, no one is even close.  If we could we would leave the #5-7 slots blank and resume the Power Rankings at #8.

Tied at #5 we have Florida and Cedar Rapids, with El Paso making a big move up to #7. All three of these teams are a loss or two away from falling out of the second place playoff berth. The Coyotes have a little more cushion than the other two teams, but if Sonora wakes up, it won’t be easy for El Paso to keep up their current pace. Also, El Paso plays Monterrey twice this week, so their stay in the Top 7 could be a brief one.

The St. Louis Ambush were finally dislodged from the #14 slot that they had occupied all season, falling one spot behind the Turlock Express to #15. The Ambush have gotten closer and closer to winning, but 1/3 of the way through the season they are still winless and their overall losing streak has grown to 21 games. They get two more cracks at a win this week when they visit Milwaukee and host Cedar Rapids.
