Kraig Chiles has been among the top scorers in arena soccer since he entered the game. The three-time MVP became the San Diego Sockers top all-time goal scorer last year and has amassed 333 regular season goals in 144 games with the Sockers.
I recently had the privilege to sit down with Kraig. He was open to talking about his youth and his college career. We discussed the season he played in Major League Soccer and the early years in the PASL.
He candidly offered the story of his experiences playing futsal with the Sockers and the United States National Team. We talked about his experience representing the US on the 2015 Arena Soccer World Cup championship team, as well as the reasons why he declined to participate in the 2017 WMF World Cup in Tunisia. We then spoke of the MASL today and his part in the Sockers push for their 15th national championship.
