The Monterrey Flash remained #1 for the 14th straight week with a big 6-3 win over the San Diego Sockers in Sunday’s Fray at Monterrey. The Sockers have now lost three of their last five.

The 15-0 Flash had already defeated the Milwaukee Wave and now add the Sockers notch in their belt. Looking ahead, with seven games left, the best chances to wreck their unbeaten season :

    • Thursday, February 8 at Ontario (Fury gave Sockers their first loss on 1/18)
    • Wednesday, February 14 at Sonora
    • Sunday, March 4 vs. Sonora

With the Super Bowl this Sunday, the MASL’s slate is on the light side, but Syracuse and El Paso will be busy. The Silver Knight host the Cedar Rapids Rampage on Friday and then travel to Baltimore on Saturday. The Coyotes head way north to Tacoma Friday and then have to hustle home to greet the Rio Grande Valley Barracudas Saturday.
