It was a week where the San Diego Sockers didn’t win and the Turlock Express did. Never mind that the Sockers didn’t play. There isn’t a winless MASL team now from here to Timbuktu.

With the league’s Super Bowl break over, the action heats up again, albeit with a still-modest 10 games in Week 11. Thursday, the Sockers and Ontario Fury lock horns. The Fury desperately need a win to get their season back on track and wipe off the stink of losing in Turlock. Friday is our game of the week with Utica City FC trying to become the first team to beat the Baltimore Blast at SECU Arena.

The Kansas City Comets will try to stay on a roll Saturday when they visit the St. Louis Ambush. Kansas City has won six of their last seven, but are only 1-3 against St. Louis this year.

Sunday features two traditional rivalries that have lost steam in recent years, but the Blast host the Harrisburg Heat and the Dallas Sidekicks go to Monterrey to take on the Flash.

Weeeee are the champions, my friend. Well maybe not, but Turlock finally won a game and all they had to do was blow a 7-2 lead in five minutes to do it. Who knew?
